Since an early age – I’ve been interested in many aspects of computing. My degree was in Computer Science from Loughborough University, and since graduation I’ve worked for Toyota Motor Manufacturing. Primarily based in Derby – I’ve worked on a variety of systems based on mainframe technology- then moving on to implementing a PeopleSoft HR solution as part of a Pan European team based in the HQ in Brussels, Belgium.
Following this I was responsible for migrating the infrastructure from the UK to Belgium, whilst ensuring the continued operation of the application.
More recently I’ve been involved in the conversion of UK based PCs from Windows XP to Windows 7 and the rollout of a new fleet of secure printers.
Currently I’m responsible for a number of production instruction systems which members use to create the correct parts for the main production line, and also involved with the upgrade of the Linux based Assembly Control System.
Outside of work I am responsible for a number of small websites, most recently using Word Press to deliver the web site of the Rugeley and Armitage Camera Club – which has over 100 active members, for which the web site is a central source of information.
